  • Reading

Reading has two main components—fluency (being able to read the words) and comprehension (understanding what the words say). Fluency involves both reading speed and reading accuracy, and can be affected by many factors. Poor comprehension may be affected by poor fluency, or may be a separate problem by itself.

  • Adult Needs

Any program that is effective for children will be effective for remediating the same difficulties in adults, although it may have to be adapted to adult sensibilities. The Brain Fitness program is specifically designed for the adult brain, assisting memory, auditory processing, processing speed, and attention. Interactive Metronome is also very effective for improving attention, and also for improving balance and coordination in adults.
