Memory

photo of teacher with studentRemember that beloved children’s game where you laid all of the squares out face down on the floor and then tried to remember which one was which, matching the beach ball card with the other beach ball card? While some of us love the game Memory, others out there aren’t such a fan. Children and adults alike can face memory disorders that prohibit them from recalling past events. If you or your child is experiencing memory problems, Restored Hope might be able to help. We’ll run a battery of diagnostic tests to determine if the problems are coming from a neurological disorder. In the event a learning disability is at play, we can provide several programs and therapies to help restore your memory and provide permanent solutions to avoid future problems.

Assistance for Memory Problems

Memory is an important factor in children’s success in school and extracurricular activities. It’s also critical for adults who strive to succeed in the workplace (or as parents.) Regardless of age or life stage, memory is something everyone needs. Memory has long-term, short-term, and working memory components. It can be affected by multiple factors, such as visual and auditory processing skills and attention difficulties, and is a complex area. We offer the following programs and therapies to help memory:
  • Close Point Vision
  • Fast ForWord
  • Irlen Syndrome
  • Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE)
  • Seeing Stars
  • Visualizing and Verbalizing (V/V)
